Will I get help with having a part time job working 16 hours plus being a single parent.?

I'm 22 years of age and i've recenctly been in the market for a new part-time job(sitting at home and cleaning every day is seriously boring) and i've got a 3 year old son, i want to know if anyone knows what help i'll get from the dss in the sense of child care and other help that I don't know about x x
