Can i get in trouble for this (is it harment)?

i WAS dating my neighbor for a while. We wound up breaking up but were still being good neighbors and getting along, until this one guy moved in with him. My house started smelling like weed. i tried doing the christian thing and go over and ask if they can move to a different part of their house. He blew up at me and sayd i was chasing his friend away and never to contact him. He said to talk to his mom if i have any issues and she would tell him. Well i talekd to her, but she didnt take care of the weed. After 2 months and it persisted, i told the landlady. Here it is two weeks later i found this bouncy ball he gave my daughter. she said ewe i dont want this cause he gave it to me. i was going to throw it away but hate wasting things so i set it outside his door. Do you think i can get in trouble, should i have just throwni it in the garbage ??
