Roof racks for Nissan Micra, confused, please help!?

Hi all. I drive a 2000 (X reg) Nissan Micra with 3 doors but Im not sure If I need the roof racks for an openable or fixed rear window? The rear window does open, with a vent like contraption though rather than open completley. any guidance would be appriciated!
