Where to buy a parakeet?

i would like to have a parakeet but there are no local breeders around here and everyone's been talking about how pet stores buy from mills.my two choices are kamm's pet center or cleveland aviary can someone please give me some opinions of those two and the costs of parakeets there. thanks
