My Friends are lying! We're in a twisted crisis, Help me?

I am friends with a girl (let's call her Beth) and we hung out and everything. I met her last year and we started hanging out in September. I was really jealous of her barbie doll life. She had everthing! She even got along with her parents.*jaw dropper* One day, we were on instant messenger when our friend (let's call her Linden) was put in this really popular kid (let's call him AB) 's away message. it said "at movies with Linden". They came back from away and I started talking to them. I pretended I was a girl from school. They finally asked me out and were like wanna go to the movies tomorrow? You're hot. I didn't know what to say so I said thanks. They started swearing at me and kept claiming to be people. Finally they said they were two people (call em' Jessay and Ellen) and that they hated me and beth. I, of course, was telling Beth all of this. Beth and I called Ellen and she didn't believe Jessay said this. They had been friends for long times. We have no idea who did this.
