6 month trip to Australia?

I wouldn't be fishing in the top end of Australia. There are thousands of crocodiles so unless you knew exactly what you where doing don't bother if you value your life. The Crocs are anywhere and everywhere now and 2 people have been taken this year. As for hunting I guess you want to eat snake or kangaroo and how will you cook it Fires aren't allowed. Not many people can survive out there with the searing heat. I suggest you do a course on bush tucker.If you stick to the Coast then water will be available in the towns you go through. and from Darwin you can't stick to the coast for many hundreds of Kilometres as much of the land is aboriginal territory and you would need permission to travel through it. Much of the land is unforgiving so I would suggest you have a car stick to the bitumen roads and carry plenty of supplies
